TG: Former Chief Minister's health deteriorates, admitted to hospital

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Telangana chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao ( KCR ) was admitted to Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital in Hyderabad on Thursday evening. He complained of weakness and feeling unwell, following which doctors immediately conducted a medical examination and confirmed high blood sugar and low sodium level (hyponatremia).

Hyderabad:  Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president and former Telangana chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao ( KCR ) was admitted to Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital in Hyderabad on Thursday evening. He complained of weakness and feeling unwell, following which doctors immediately conducted a medical examination and confirmed high blood sugar and low sodium level (hyponatremia).

What did the hospital say?

According to the official medical bulletin issued by Yashoda Hospital:

  • KCR is 71 years old and was feeling general fatigue and weakness.
  • Initial reports showed blood sugar levels to be very high and sodium levels to be lower than normal.
  • However, all his other vital signs like blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen level are normal.
  • He has been kept under close observation and medicines have been started to control diabetes. Along with this, treatment is also being given for sodium balance.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took information about his health

  • Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed concern over KCR's health and spoke to doctors at Yashoda Hospital over phone to enquire about his health. The Chief Minister instructed the doctors: "KCR should get the best treatment and there should be no shortage in his care. We wish him a speedy recovery."

Concern among BRS party and supporters

  • The news of KCR's hospitalization has created a wave of concern among BRS party workers and his supporters. Many party workers and local leaders also reached outside the hospital and tried to get information about his health. On social media too, party leaders and the general public have wished for his speedy recovery.
