Earthquake: 4.4 magnitude earthquake hits Delhi

The national capital Delhiwasonce again shaken by natural tremors. The earthquake that struck at 9:04 am on Thursday caused panic. The epicenter of the earthquake was identified as Jhajjar in Haryana. The earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 4.4 on theEarthquakescale. The National Institute of Seismology revealed that the earth shook at a depth of 10 km. Despite the low intensity, its effects were felt in many areas including Noida, Gurugram, and Delhi.

There was a sudden commotion as fans whirred and computers moved.

As soon as the earthquake hit, fans in homes and offices started vibrating and objects on desks started moving. People ran outside as the situation became unusual. Although there was no danger, many people went into low-lying open spaces out of fear. The tremors, which were centered in Jhajjar, affected many districts within a radius of about 200 kilometers. Tremors were also clearly felt in Gurugram, Rohtak, Bahadurgarh, Meerut and Dadri.

A series of earthquakes have hit Delhi in recent times.

Small earthquakes have been occurring frequently in the Delhi region for the past few months. This is causing fear among the people. Experts are already suggesting that the strength of buildings should be monitored regarding the impact of earthquakes. Officials say that the situation is currently under control. However, warnings are being issued everywhere for people to take precautions as there is a possibility of major tremors in the future.
