Helicopter Crash: Police helicopter crashes into river: Malaysia

A police helicoptercrashedin Malaysia . Five people, including two senior police officers, were seriously injured in the incident. Two of the injured are reported to be in critical condition. The incident took place during a mock drillinPulai River in Johor state . According to the Malaysian Civil Aviation Department, it was part of a practice program conducted as part of military exercises. The drill is part of the nuclear security multinational exercise 'Mitsathom 2025' being conducted between Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Thailand.

Helicopter crashes into river after takeoff

The Malaysian Airbus AS355N helicopter, which took off from the Tanjung Kupang police station, suddenly lost control shortly after approaching the Malaysia Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) jetty at Gelang Patah. It immediately crashed into the river. Rescue teams were immediately activated after the accident. Five people on board the helicopter, including the pilot, were rescued. However, two of them are reportedly receiving treatment for serious injuries. Officials said that the rest are receiving basic treatment.
