Pakistan: The bluff that is showing dots to Pakistan

Tensions are rising again in the Balochistanprovince of Pakistan. The Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) has reportedly carried out more than 70 attacks in four days since it launched 'Operation Bomb' on July 8. Dozens of Pakistani soldiers are believed to have lost their lives in these attacks. The security forces are under extreme stress.

Pakistan-China exploitation of Balochistan's mineral wealth

Locals say that Balochistan is rich in natural gas, oil and mineral resources. People are angry thatthePakistani government is handing over these resources to Chinese companies and exploiting them. In this context, there is deep dissatisfaction among the people there. Baloch militants are moving towards taking up arms against the government.

The struggle for independence

The people of Balochistan are demanding independence from Pakistan. Baloch activists are clearly saying that they want their lands and resources, and freedom from Pakistani rule. Although separatism has been growing there for the past few years, the situation has become more tense with the latest Operation Bomb. This has become a big challenge for the Pakistan Army.
