Rajampet: Famous for its sea area and beachesCentral government gives green signal for another national highway in Kakinada coastal areaThe Ministry of National Highways has invited tenders for the Bharat Mala Pariyojana Project Phase 1 at an estimated cost of Rs 1042 crore.A four-lane road will be constructed from Vakalapudi Kakinada Lighthouse to Annavaram for a distance of 40.621 km. The road is currently under construction via Pithapuram Kathipudi. The new road will also have a railway bridge crossing two beaches.The tender process has started from June 27. The bids for these tenders will be opened on August 18.This seed access road will become a boon for tourists. It will be constructed to provide a pleasant view of the coastal area and the beauty of the beach on the roadside.
