Rain Alert: Heavy rains in Telugu states today

The State Disaster Management Authority ( APSDMA) has said that moderate to heavy rains are likely in the Rayalaseema region of AP today (July 17). It has said that rainfall is likely to be heavy in all districts except Tirupati. It has advised people to be alert in the wake of favorable weather conditions for rain.

Light to moderate rains in North Andhra and Coastal Andhra

While there is a possibility of moderate rains in some parts of North Andhra, it is expected that light rains are likely to be recorded in the coastal areas of Coastal Andhra. The Meteorological Department said that the east coast is likely to receive rains due to the influence of a moisture-filled air mass. Fishermen in coastal areas have been advised to be alert.

Heavy rains lash Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar districts in Telangana

The Hyderabad Meteorological Center has warned of heavy rains in the joint Nalgonda and Mahabubnagar districts of Telangana state. Due to the influence of a low-pressure area and southwest monsoon, there are indications of heavy rains in TG tomorrow and tomorrow as well. With this, officials are warning people living in old buildings and low-lying areas to be vigilant.
