BC Reservation: Kavita's response on 42% reservation for BCs

Telangana Jagruti President Kalvakuntla Kavitha has welcomed the decision of the Telangana State Cabinet to amend the law to provide 42 percent reservation for BCs before the local body elections.She termed this as a key step towards achieving BC rights. Recalling the struggle that Jagruti had waged in the past for these reservations, she said that this decision will pave the way for BCs to be empowered.

Kavitha supports the state government's decision

Kavitha said that the state government's view that elections should be held only after amending the current law and providing reservations for BCs will be a new guideline. She said that this is a testament to transparency in the functioning of the government. She said that providing reservations to BCs at this level is fair and will contribute to their social and political stability.

Demand to expedite the amendment of the law

Kavitha said that the government should immediately start working to complete the law amendment process quickly and provide appropriate rights to the BCs. She believed that this decision has brought joy to the BC community and that it is an opportunity to move them further forward in society. She revealed that this will be an important step towards success for the Jagruti Sanstha and the BC community.
