Domestic stock market indices started trading with slight losses today . At 9.18 am, Nifty fell 31 points to 25,606, while Sensex fell 135 points to 83,923.

SBFC Finance, Arvind Fashions, Zydus Wellness, BHEL, Jupiter Lifeline were among the top gainers, while JB Chemicals and Pharma, Karnataka Bank, Jyoti CNC Automation, Narayana Hrudayalaya, and Coromandel International were among the biggest losers. On BSEExcluding tech and telecom sector indicesAll are trading in profits.
Profit-taking effect
Investors are inclined to take profits as the indices reached a 9-month high last week. Due to this, the indices are trading sluggishly. Hopes of normalcy in West Asia have arisen with Trump's campaign that the war in Gaza could also be ended this week.
Market situation by sectorThe rupee lost slightly
against the dollar. It closed at Rs.85.47 on Friday. It started trading at 85.48 on Monday. Major Asia-Pacific market indices started trading positively. Only New Zealand's NZX50 lost 0.12 percent.
